About
The building stands on the site of the former town house of Lord Mexborough, and was rebuilt in 1905. The old house had some fine carved doors and over-doors, dado and other panelling which have been preserved from the original 19th Century town house's Dover St entrance.The building consists of 22 residential flats divided into two blocks, one at 33 Dover St and one at 17 Berkeley St, with commercial units on the ground floor, basement and sub-basement, currently occupied by The Dover and Parc Chinois.In March 2026, the owner-members of Mexborough House RTM Company Limited have started working hard to improve the building and restore it to the level of fit, finish and service expected of a luxury Mayfair apartment building.
